"We do Overture, do you do Overture?".
I hear this question more and more often. Yes we "do" Overture Pay Per Click Advertising.
We also use Google AdWords and LookSmart paid advertising. These three services
together provide the "sponsored listings" and "sponsored sites" on the four major
search engines: Yahoo!, Google, MSN and AOL.
Which services are the best
to use? Like most things, it depends. To effectively use paid advertising on the
Web there are six major steps: 1) Which key phrases to use? 2) Which service
has the best price for each key phrase today? 3) What is the most effective
wording to bring in customers? 4) How much should I spend and how do I control
the spending? 5) What ranking do I want and how to I keep it there? 6) How
do I know which advertisements are bringing in customers and which ones are wasting
my money?
These important steps will help you get the most for your marketing
dollars and increase the number of qualified visitors and customers.
