Today someone asked me to send him
an e-mail. He said the e-mail would bounce, I would be given a code and I would
have to resend the e-mail with the code in the subject line to get the e-mail
through his spam filter. If I was a customer, I would quickly move on to a company
that could receive my e-mail in one step! Stop the madness! There is an easier
way!
Thanks to a tip from Michael Kolowich of Diginovations,
I installed SpamNet
on March 14, 2003. That was seven weeks ago. Since then I have received 2,815
e-mails. SpamNet put 1,045 of them in the spam folder. I checked them - they are
all spam. 21 spam e-mails made it through to my inbox. A 2% miss rate. I am very
pleased.
March 14th was Spam Liberation day for me. If you use Outlook
for your mail system, you can be liberated too: just go to www.cloudmark.com
and follow the instructions. It's very easy.
