Getting
a good ranking in Google
To
get found in the search engines focus some of your hours on Google. Here's how
to start...
In the last few months it has become increasingly important to
have a listing in the Open Directory Project to get a good ranking in Google.
Your ranking is where you appear on the list when someone does a search.
Submitting
to the Open Directory
Submittals
to the Open Directory Project are free and easy to do yourself. Go to dmoz.org/add.html
and follow the directions. Use your best Key phrases in your description.
Notice that this project is staffed by volunteers. Needless to say, some
listings will take longer to be included then others.

A
listing in the Open Directory helps
In
addition to improving your ranking in Google, a listing in the Open Directory
Project may also improve your rankings in AOL, HotBot and Lycos. Increasing your
rankings will help attract more visitors to your website.
